Nickel Silver

Nickel silver is a mixture of Copper, Zinc & Nickel, usually with 10% to 18% Nickel content. The colour of the material varies, dependant upon the Nickel content. It has good corrosion resistance & electrical conductivity.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS & INDUSTRIES
Cutlery trade and Telecommunications industry (relay contact springs)
Connectors
EMI Shielding
Jewellery
Medals
Electronics

NOTE OF INTEREST
The use in Cutlery as EPNS (electro plated nickel silver) is due in no small part to the silver colour of the alloy; so that as the plating wears thin or as knives are sharpened the colour change is not so obvious.
